Hi Ashley, Your first grade material is really good. After watching the "R-Controlled Vowels" video, call me old-fashioned, but I was a little put off with the lead singer. I'm glad that you asked about the appropriateness of using it with young children. What was the point of her trying to act provocative to teach about vowels? Loved the music, though! Haha Holli! I have shown this the past two years and I have gotten it approved by the reading coach first. It is so funny and I watch the students reactions first to see how they are reacting to it. So far no complaints! It is a hilarious video to me for some reason. Thanks for sharing, I totally agree with you!
